WHAT IS A FLOATING SWITCH?
The float switch is a sensor used to monitor the circuit inside the tank when the liquid level increases or decreases. The types of float switches are different, but their general function is to activate the pump control panels and alarms, if any. The device has established itself as one of the most efficient and reliable liquid level control technologies, and today float switches are used in various industrial processes that require liquid level monitoring. Stored in different types of rooms. and tanks.
CHOICE OF A FLOATING TYPE
The type of float switch most suitable for use will depend to a large extent on the type of tank used. Two main types of float switches: horizontal and vertical installation. Each project is aimed at monitoring the liquid level, and each can be used to open and close circuits, depending on the level of liquid in the tank. Vertical floats are used if the float is attached to the top or bottom of the tank. If the tank lid is closed or is inaccessible from floor to ceiling, you will need a horizontal float switch.
Vertical floating keys
The vertical float switch consists of two parts: a bar and a magnetic float. You can use a floating plastic or stainless steel ball, and a switch can be installed on the top or bottom of the tank or chamber. After connecting, the rod is connected and connected to the top or bottom of the tank, with one or more blade switches closed inside and the cables – outside the tank. When the float approaches one of the reed switches, the magnetic force causes the switch to open or close. Since the vertical switches can be installed above or below the container, they are particularly suitable for situations in which there is no lateral access to the tank.
FLOATING HORIZONTAL KEYS
Horizontal float level switches are used when access to the top and bottom of the tank is not available. These float switches are suitable for applications mounted on the side wall of a tank with a float mounted in a fixed housing. As with the vertical switch, the horizontal float changes up and down with the liquid level. They offer economical, flexible options and can be used together with high or low alarms. They can be installed indoors or outdoors to ensure precise positioning without much difficulty. In both cases, when the float approaches the reed switch, it moves the magnet near the switch and opens or closes the circuit.
